Research and innovation are amongst the cornerstones of ICL’s business and are vital to the company’s continued growth. ICL is developing new production processes, applications, formulations and products for its diverse markets, including agriculture, food and engineered materials. Product development processes are conducted both internally or through joint efforts with external parties. The company also ensures that sustainable criteria are considered and addressed as part of the R&D process. \

Over the years, ICL has developed and marketed many innovative products and solutions, accumulating expertise in diverse technologies.

Going forward, ICL aims to continue expanding, balancing and strengthening its business by, among other things, growing its specialty businesses through R&D, organic initiatives, joint ventures and acquisitions. One of the included focus areas is advanced crop nutrition. This includes degradable coating, nutrient sensing, growth enhancers, utilization of digital technologies and Nitrogen fixation. Another focus area is advanced materials, including energy storage and low energy consumption applications, construction, flame retardants, biocides and circular economy – “from waste to product”.
