ICL Ladenburg:
ICL Ladenburg  sponsors the following events and activities:

• Sponsoring of shelter for children in need.
• Contributing to local kindergarten and playgrounds as well as to local schools for sports and other activities.
• Contributing to the University of Heidelberg 
• Contributing  to a home for handicapped individuals 
• Sponsoring of local community celebration (Ladenburg local festivities) and local sports events.
• Donating to several charities.

ICL Bitterfeld

• Sponsoring of local football club for preparation of football tournament
• Donating to a school together with the Chemistry unit.
• Donating used furniture, lab equipment and old computers to a vocational school.

Austria

ICL Hartberg (Prolactal)

ICL Hartberg sponsors Prolactal Hartberg (local professional football club) as well as other local events from the City of Hartberg, such as, Family Days, Schools, City Parties, Bike Races etc.

In addition, donations are made to a children’s hospice.

The Netherlands

Amsterdam (EU HQ)

There were several volunteering activities organized by an internal Volunteering Committee.

ICL Amfert Amsterdam

ICL Amfert Amsterdam partnered with the JINC foundation, that helps to improve skills, in order to prepare for the technical jobs of the future.

ICL IP Terneuzen

ICL-IP Terneuzen (IPT) sponsors the following events and activities:

• Regional cultural events (including some PR-publicity for our company)
  • Festival Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (Classical concerts organized over a period of 2 weeks in various locations in our municipality)
  • Zeeland Jazz Festival in Terneuzen. An annual event in our municipality.
  • Graauw Rock Festival. An annual rock music event. 
• Sports events (including some publicity for our company)
  • Marathon Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. An annual sporting event, in which a number of our employees participate, dressed in ICL outfits. 
  • Ride for the Roses – National cycling event in the fight against breast cancer. IPT is represented by our cycling team dressed in ICL outfits.
• Smaller activities and sports events (at least one of our employees is part of the organization team):
  • Cycling tours, local football teams, swimming for handicapped children, athletic events,  etc. 
• The site funds billboards with the at local football and sports fields. 
• Attending school information events. ICL Terneuzen’s HSE education officer, and/or Technical Ambassadors attend these events,  to promote working in the chemical industry, and ICL in particular.

Helping to educate tomorrow’s chemists

One of the challenges for ICL IPTerneuzen is to find young people with a technical background. This is why ICL invests time and resources to make kids in local schools interested in the industrial sector, hoping to help educate tomorrow’s chemists!
